Six students at New College of Florida have been awarded prestigious Fulbright grants for 2013 and will study and teach in Germany, Sweden, Taiwan and the Czech Republic. The students are Claire Albiez, Seth Borden, Elizabeth Burger, Rosalia Maier-Katkin, Amelia Nordin and Silvia Ulloa. New College has had 43 Fulbright recipients since 2007 and 75 in its history. Goodwill Manasota recently opened a Job Connection Center at 5150 N. Tamiami Trail. The center is intended to provide easy access to people who need assistance in finding employment. Goodwill Manasota placed nearly 400 people in jobs in 2012 and has already placed 146 people in jobs so far this year.
