On April 17, 2012, City and County Commissioners unanimously agreed to provide funding to build Phases 1 and 2 of the Myrtle Street reconstruction, from US 301 to Old Bradenton Road.
Phase 1, which will improve the intersection at US 301/Myrtle, providing a southbound turn lane, will cost $337,000, is funded by the City, and is scheduled for construction in 2013.
